Chandler Mountain. One hundred degrees out there this afternoon. No rain coming for days. Yet the mountain looked cool. "I lift my eyes up. Where does my help come from?..." May humility grow in the hearts of the people of Alabama. Send Your rain, send Your rain.
I wasn't a hippy though I did meet two in the summer of 1970. I'm a grad of Etowah High ('69), attended Gadsden State Junior College and have a BS and MA from Alabama in Art Education. I taught art from 1973-1986 at Hokes Bluff High and Glencoe High. The last fifteen years I taught at all the Glencoe schools. I was blessed to be married to Jan Moseley from Dothan for thirty years. Jan died from complications of having muscular dystrophy in 2003. We have an only daughter, Laura Bentley Catoe. Laura is married to the lovely Kris Catoe. (Well, he is also handsome, masculine and swashbuckling.)********Patsy Thompson and I were wed October 23, 2004. We are in the long process of downsizing our two households into something smaller. We continue to find out “who this other person is that I married!"********January 16, 1983 God spoke to me about starting a church. Vineyard Christian Fellowship of Gadsden (a.k.a. Gadsden Vineyard Church) is the outcome of that five second conversation. God can be very direct and to the point.
